Mrs. Metta Njie, the mother of the late Lieutenant Colonel Lamin
Sanneh, , the former Commanding officer at State House who was killed
during the 30thDecember, 2014 attack on State house has now spent 47
days without being seen by the family members.The family members are still concerned that they do not know Metta’s
whereabouts since her arrest on the 1st January, 2015. They are
appealing for her release.
It would be recalled that the mother was said to have been picked up
by operatives who claimed to be working for the National Intelligence
Agency (NIA) at her residence in Fajikunda Dumos on the 1st January,
2015.
The family members once said, “We are renewing our call on the
authorities to release our relative. We have been traumatized by her
disappearance because she is an elder and plays a crucial role in the
