Scorpions’ midfielder Sulayman Marreh is back doing what he does best -playing football -following an injury setback.

The 21-year-old joined Real Valladolid from English Premier League club Watford on loan for the rest of the ongoing season.

Marreh was part of Valldolid’s squad going into the pre-season but a latest injury hit scuppered his intentions of playing second fiddle football in Spain –the highest level he’s been in since turning professional.

The midfielder as a result, had to keep out of the team doing his rehab and post injury first phrase drills with the side’s reserves.

He has since recuperated from his right leg abrasion but Valladolid’s gaffer hasn’t the hopes of risking the player with involvement with the first-teamers and has asked the Gambian train with the fringe players instead.

He has made two appearances for the reserves playing in the fifth division of Spain, where he dons the number ten jersey.

The former Samger Football Club starlet isn’t expected to spend much time in the fifth tier with a re-climb to the Segunda –second tier –  already on the cards.

Marreh, capped several for the Scorpions, is the second Gambian to don Valladolid colours after fellow international Bakary Njie now in Bulgaria’s premier league.
