MAMBURY NJIE FINALLY RELEASED

Mustapha Jallow After having been detained without trial for more than seven months, Mr. Mambury Njie, a former finance and economic affairs minister in the regime of President Yahya Jammeh, is finally released. Mr. Njie is among the many detainees who were released by the president alongside the pardoning of convicted prisoners, including former high profile personalities in the present APRC regime such as ex. cabinet ministers, senior military and security officers, among others. Immediately before his release, Mr. Njie was hospitalized at the Serekunda General Hospital and was being guarded by agents of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) where he was detained before.  ]]>
