The Gambian people cannot forget the tears of the family members when their loved ones were brought to court in chains on ankles and wrists. They cannot forget the tears when their loved ones were convicted and sentenced to death. They cannot forget the trials and tribulations of families who lost bread winners and were pushed into the abyss of poverty. Pardoning a person does not negate the bitter experience of detention, trial and imprisonment. Those pardoned should therefore be left alone to put their lives together. This is the least which should be expected.]]>
