It is reported that Lamin Marigo and Lamin Sey, who are said to be close friends, have gone missing since their arrest by the security on Monday 9 May 2016.
Baboucarr Bah, the brother of Lamin Marigo, visited the Foroyaa office yesterday afternoon to report about the matter. He said the brother is a supporter of the United Democratic Party (UDP) and was picked up with his friend on the day that Ousainou Darboe and party members appeared in court in Banjul. He said since the brother left home he did not return.
“Lamin (Marigo) got married just recently and his wife is in total trauma as she does not see the husband whose whereabouts are not yet known to the family,” said Mr. Bah.
However, Mr Bah said they had visited many known detention centres to search for the two friends but they could not be traced anywhere.
He said they are calling on the authorities to release the two friends to allow them reunite with their worried families.
