Hon. Buba Ayi Sanneh, the National Assembly law maker from Kombo Central, is being held unlawfully without court appearance and access to his family for 14 days today at the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) headquarters in Banjul.
The National Assembly Member (NAM) was detained since on Wednesday, 31 August, 2016, after presenting himself to the NIA which sent operatives to his home in Brikama to arrest him the previous day, according to Alagi Senkerreh, his nephew.
When Senkereh was contacted again yesterday for an update regarding the situation of his uncle’s detention, he told this reporter that he is still being held and that the family is still denied access to him (Kombo Central NAM) at his place of detention despite the several unsuccessful attempts which they have made.
He said the family is calling on the authorities to release their loved one.
