Uncapped Gambian Muhamed Keita has dealt a blow to Fulham’s pursuit of him after moving on loan to Norway’s first division outfit Stabæk.
The winger is one player interesting English second tier side Fulham as the Craven Cottage outfit’s scouts continued their monitoring of the Serrekunda-born’s progress.
While Keita might have slipped off their grips temporarily following his transfer to Stabæk, it’s strongly believed a move to the London side may eventually materialize at end of the current campaign at least.
Muhamed called it quits with Stromgodset after failing to agree terms with the club’s sporting director over a revised contract. Godset were locked in negotiations with the fast-paced tricky forward but are unable to broker an agreement owing to the player’s wage increased demands.
The situation prompted Keita to look elsewhere preferring on rejoining Stabæk – a side he featured for the previous term. The 25-year-old joined the rest of his new teammates on training Wednesday morning and now looks on track to be offered a debut over the weekend.
Muhamed already has four goals and a number of assists to his name in the thirteen matches he’d played for Stromgodset.
