Macoumba Kandji has secured a move to Saudi Arabia’s Pro League after
leaving Finnish champions Helsinki. Kandji, a Scorpion-hopeful, joins Al Faisaly on a three-and-half-month deal which runs until May.The 29-year-old makes the switch having clinched the Vikkausaliiga
trophy and played Europa League competition with Helsinki last
season.
Countryman striker Ousman Jallow has since been recruited to the fill
void created by the former New York Red Bulls forward.
In Saudi, Kandji has since played four matches already making his
debut as a second-half substitute in a 3-0 defeat to giants Iithihad.
The towering front-man has scored two goals so far.
Kandji is a journeyman-like player starting his career in US –winning
the MLS title with Red Bulls and Huston Dynamo –before switching to
Greek football.
In Greece, he rose from the second tier to Super League with
Levadiakos and months later decided to join HJK after the club failed
