QUESTION OF THE DAY
Is the isolationist policy of The Gambia Government working?
The past years has been characterized by an isolationist tendency in foreign policy by the Gambia Government.
The Gambia Government broke away from the Commonwealth, disrupted the political dialogue with EU and then declared its Chargee d’Affaires persona non grata, broke diplomatic relation with Taiwan and made remarks against all the Senegalese presidents which were received with dissatisfaction, thus setting a trail against good neighbourliness.
This isolationist policy of the APRC government is having impact on economic and social development. It is bad practice and needs to be abandoned.
