Foroyaa is investigating whether live ammunition was utilized to prevent a fleeing suspect from escaping. It is not yet clear whether rubber bullets or blancos or live ammunitions are being used by police under patrol. It is also not clear whether the suspect was armed and could not be apprehended without the use of bullets.
There should be procedures in the use of fire arms by law enforcement officers which Foroyaa will dig into and convey to the public in due course.
