QUESTION OF THE DAY

IS GRTS PROVIDING ONLY FIVE MINUTES TO CANDIDATES FOR POLITICAL BROADCAST?

So far, candidates have been asked to deliver messages lasting for five minutes. Such messages do not cover the languages of the electorate as a whole.

If GRTS wants to fulfill its mandate it could approach candidates originating from the same stakeholder to communicate with each other so that they could put their allocations together and cover all the languages in the delivery of  their political broadcasts.

Some measures are necessary to make political broadcasts accessible to the public in equal measures irrespective of their origin.
