There was an unexpected thunderstorm that caused immense destruction that is yet to be addressed by the national disaster initiative. This was then followed by long dry spells which became a cause for concern. The middle of August is just around the corner but many people are wondering whether their crops would be saved.
The department of agriculture needs to give reports of assessment from field studies to tell the nation how the crops are faring under an unpredictable climate. A nation must not wait until disaster strikes before ringing the alarm bell for action to be take.
