A coverage of the impending hearing on the sale and disposal of Ex-President Jammeh’s forfeited assets should be covered by all media houses to ensure transparency and accountability.
It was the expressed view of the Commission that was established that probity and respect financial regulations would be enhanced after the end of the enquiry. The National Assembly has a duty to show to the public that the separation of powers does lead to checks and balances that would ensure restraint in the use of power to pursue ends that are detrimental to the interest of the country.
All eyes are now on the National Assembly. The country is waiting.
