Lamin Bah, an officer working at the Gambia Immigration Department has disappeared without trace since on the 17th December, 2016 when ex-president Jammeh was still in power.

According to his father Omar Bah, they have been looking for him at several places but he was never traced or heard from. He explained that his son went to work on that fateful day when he was taken away.

The old man who walked into the offices of Foroyaa said the information they got concerning his arrest is that his son was engaged in a discussion with others on that day when he stated that “President Jammeh lost the election and he refuses to accept the outcome but we will use force to remove him.”

He calls on the authorities to maximize their effort in tracing him as his 30 year old son who is single, plays a crucial role in maintaining the family.

“I went to the Immigration Department but I could not see my son and I could not get clear information about his disappearance. I strongly urge the authorities to come to my aid because I need my son,” said the old man.

Should any person or authority wants to get in touch with Omar Bah concerning his son’s disappearance, he is accessible on 9910799.
