“I’m not aware of the arrest of Ghanaian Captain” Says Police PRO

By Muhammed Sailu Bah Police Public Relation Officer David Kujabi has informed Foroyaa that he is not aware of the arrest and detention at Mile 2 of Ebenezer Noumo Justice, a Ghanaian national, who is the Captain of a fishing trawler.Talking to this reporter in his office on Monday, PRO Kujabi said the Police do not arrest people just like that and then take them to Mile 2 without going through the court. It was earlier reported that the Ghanaian Captain was invited by the personnel of the Gambian navy last week Monday who later transferred him the following day to the police who then sent him to Mile 2 on Thursday. He has been held at Mile 2 for five days now. The fishing trawler Fuyuang Yu 120 is still docked at the Banjul jetty at ‘Wharfi Njago’ under the guard of the navy .  ]]>
