FSQA should take note that the life of the people are in danger because of the expired food that is currently being sold everywhere. Very recently expired food dumped at Abuko Nature Reserve is finding its way back to the market.
It is claimed that the food was dumped there so that it will be taken to Kanilai which has not happened. The FSQA should always be present to facilitate the safe disposal of expired food items. This should be properly documented followed by the prevention of any recurrence. There is need to have its staff stationed where it orders the dumping of any food items until they are finally disposed off. Consuming expired chicken after it is unfrozen and become stale can lead to cholera, food poisoning and death.
