QUESTION OF THE DAY
The draft Constitution is out. Newspapers are serialising it. Social media users are debating the content. Before a debate, there is need for an independent and impartial manner of conveying the content of the draft Constitution to the people in their various languages.
People should not be asked to vote without knowing the content of the draft Constitution.
The CRC should now mobilise those they believe would be able to convey the content of the draft Constitution to the people in the language they understand and under the careful guidance of the CRC. If this is done, the CRC would make history for being the first constitutional review commission that has taken the initiative to ensure that every citizen knows the content of the draft Constitution 2019.
