HOW DID THE PUBLIC REACT TO KEBBA JEFFANG’S HARASSMENT?
It is important for political leaders to educate their supporters to have democratic values characterized by tolerance of public opinion, respect for the rights of human beings and observance of the rule of law.
Supporters who breach those rules should be asked to write apologies and visit victims of the impropriety so that repentance and forgiveness will cleanse contempt and hatred from their hearts.
Just and decent leaders should have just and decent supporters. We therefore hope that those who assaulted and used foul words against Kebba Jeffang would ask for forgiveness and reconciliation. Their images are captured and are moving like wildfire in cyber space. The damage has been done. However anything they do to remedy the situation would also address the damages.
