High Court Orders URR FA to Suspend Third Division League Until Court Case Concludes

The High Court in Bakau has ordered the Upper River Region Football Association (URR FA) to immediately suspend its Third Division football league until the ongoing legal dispute over the exclusion of four clubs from the region’s 2024 elective congress is fully resolved.

The ruling, issued by Justice Adenike J. Coker, is part of a wider judgment in favor of four grassroots football clubs—Kuteh Jumbul FC, Niomuta United FC, Briffu FC, and Tabanding FC—who were disqualified without explanation from attending the URR FA elective congress held on April 27, 2024, in Basse.

Their suspension came following their participation in an alleged capacity building training, which they were warned against.
