QUESTION OF THE DAY

The media was present in full force as it was their day. Many had expected that the negotiations that were shrouded in absolute secrecy would now be opened to the Public and that the facts that all the parties and Independent Presidential aspirant were holding close to their chest would be revealed. Unfortunately, at the eleventh hour the Media witnessed a drama that lasted for an hour as the stakeholders debated on a request made by the UDP representative for the signing ceremony to be adjourned to enable him to brief executive members who came back from their tour the night before the convening of the meeting.

Eventually, the agreement entered into by the stakeholders remained in their minds rather than expressed in black and white for the press to disseminate.

GDC, GPDP, NCP, NRP, PDOIS, PPP and UDP plus Kebba Singhateh and Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang who represented concerned groups were present. Apology was expressed for GMC, the Independent Presidential Aspirant was not present.

The programme was rescheduled to Friday 14th October 2016, Foroyaa will be there to keep the readers informed.
