HAS THE PROCLAMATION FOR THE FIRST SESSION OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BEEN PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE?
Our enquiry shows that by yesterday afternoon there was no gazette publication of the proclamation to be made by the president for the first session of the national assembly which should commence today. This is necessary to give it legal effect in accordance with the Interpretation Act.
Let us hope this will be available this morning to avoid complication. We have long criticized the Jammeh administration for not abiding by the rule of law and the new administration should not allow itself to go back to the past.
