Indeed the whole Gambian media appeared at the National Assembly to cover what the Deputies had to say on the proposed one billion supplementary appropriation estimates and bill. The Deputies decided to set up a committee to look into the merits of the estimates. The Committee could only find justification from expenditure that was less than half the sum requested. Upon review of committee’s recommendation the National Assembly decided to reject the motion for approval of the estimates.
