HAS COURT-MARTIAL BEEN PUT ASIDE BY THE BARROW ADMINISTRATION?

138

The first ever treason trial under the Barrow administration of Yaya B. Jammeh and others was done under military jurisprudence. A court-martial was held to try the military personnel.

One is witnessing a departure which should be explained by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice. Even though most of the people mentioned so far are from the military the executive is now relying on the normal courts to try those charged with treason. The reason why the state has taken this approach to deal with the case does need clarification.
