Hamza Barry will remain with Croatian premier league’s Hajduk Split for another three years after inking the dotted lines on an extended contract.

Foroyaa Sport in April revealed how the Croatian outfit were contemplating making the Gambia international’s nine-month loan deal permanent or extend it.

Hamza’s initial loan contract was due to run out 30th this month after joining Hajduk September last year from Apollon Limassol.

Barry has featured in twenty-seven (27) of the club’s games, twenty-one of those from the start and has been particularly impressive on each occasion.

Just 22, Hamza has shown exuberance hard to find amongst players of his age and is seen as one not only for keep, but for the future.

It’s for such qualities that pushed Hajduk’s board into renewing contract terms with the former Gambia Ports Authority man who’s due to join the Scorpions for the Benin Afcon 2019 opening qualifier slated for June 11th.

In April, the rising playmaker was subjected to torrents of racial slurs and got thrown a banana to eat in a chilling incident amid widespread media reports he may quit Croatian football having experienced a kind of hostility he’d never before seen in his young footballing career.

Prior to this, the 22-year-old penning improved terms initially hinged on his willingness to spend rest of the season in Croatia with the Scorpion then understood to be opened to trying a new adventure should a big club come calling.
