The New Government under the leadership of President Barrow has announced to bring back the normal 5 working days with effect from Monday 5 February 2017.

This was aired on the State TV during the 8pm news bulletin yesterday. The press release added that the working days will be from 8am to 4pm from Monday to Thursday and Fridays from 8pm to 12:30noon.

The working days were changed by the former government under the leadership of former President Yahya Jammeh on 1 February 2013 from 5 to 4 days with the working hours being from 8pm to 6pm.

Many civil servants have complained of this change particularly most of those who come from far places who complain of reaching home very late at night.
