Government to lay 4 Bills in an Extraordinary Session on Wednesday

The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly has announced on Monday 30th October 2023, that the legislative house will convene an extraordinary session starting Wednesday 1st to Thursday 2nd November 2023.

As indicated by the Clerk’s Office, the session will be held to consider four bills to be tabled by the Ministry of Justice for legislators to consider and pass into laws.

“The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly wishes to inform the general public that the National Assembly will convene an extraordinary session in 2023 legislative year scheduled for Wednesday 01st to Thursday 02nd November, 2023 to consider the under mentioned urgent matter of the state”, announced the Office of the Clerk.

As indicated by the Clerk’s Office, the urgent under mentioned State matters to be considered by the lawmakers are as follows;

The Victims Reparation Bill,2023

The Ban from Public Office (TRRC) Bill, 2023

The Commission of Inquiry (Amendment), 2023 and

The Former President Bill, 2023.

As indicated by the Clerk’s Office the Attorney General and Minister for Justice will table the said bills for consideration Members of the Assembly.
