According to the ministry of finance, the total expenditure for the year including recurrent and development expenditures is projected at D42 billion dalasi.
The sum to be raised as the domestic contribution is 29.2 billion dalasi. This means that 13 billion will be coming from loans and grants.
Foroyaa will continue to monitor the expenditure review process on a quarterly basis in order to determine whether expenditure matches with the implementation targets prescribed by the budget. Expenditure review constitutes the primary instrument based on which budgetary estimates as approved by the National Assembly are assessed in order to determine actualization of budgetary goals. The figures alone do not matter. It is the impact in the rendering of services that matters.
Foroyaa will be closely monitoring the expenditure review processes as the debt burden of D110 billion dalasi weighs heavily on the development challenges of the country.
