GFF trio back from Namibia

By Sulayman Bah The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) trio is back in the countryOmar SeyBanjul UnitedLamin Kaba Bajo 2 having paid a courtesy call on CAF’s president, Issa Hayatou. The three-man delegation comprising president Lamin Kaba Bajo, 2nd VP Ebou Faye and adviser Omar Sey, flew to Windhoek, Namibia’s administrative capital, to express gratitude to CAF for lifting Gambia’s two-year international football ban coming in the wake of the election of a new GFF executive. In appreciation of the move, the continental football governing body, according to a GFF release, assured Gambia of CAF’s willingness to offer support to the country in its development initiatives, while thanking the new Football House leadership’s vision to eradicate age-cheating. The courtesy call wrapped up with the Gambian delegation extending an invitation to the Caf head to visit the country and which Hayatou accepted to honour in the near future. The Gambian officials were then hosted to the VIP dais for the third place spot finals of the Africa Women Championship between South Africa and Ivory Coast before watching the finals between Nigeria and Cameroon.  ]]>
