Gamtel now tops the standings of the GFF First Eco sponsored top tier
after subjecting Real to their first defeat of the ongoing season.
The joy brought about by a deadly butting from a corner mastermindedby Modou Sarr inside of five minutes is only making the telecom
giants dream bigger.
But questions linger over how long the record quadruple FA Cup
winners will stay top.
The club –under the coaching purview of one of the country’s most
successful home-based gaffers – has been shuttling between first and
second places with champions Real de Banjul mainly providing stiff
competition for the staked prize.
However it now appears Tapha Manneh is solid defiant not to give it a
rest until he lays hands on the giant trophy.
The victory in the top-of-the-table clash Wednesday resulting to a
three point lead for the telecommunication outfit has provided just
the right spark for the ex-Gambia U-20 coach and lads to achieve that.
But six matches remain –games Gamtel must now win to stand any
meaningful chance of clutching the domestic title and Tapha Manneh
knows that.]]>
