Gambia’s Rio Chef de Mission attends Seminar in Brazil

The seminar, being held at the Windsor Barra Hotel, will discuss many issues including accommodation, accreditation, arrivals and departures, doping controls, medical services, ticketing, transport rate card & spectrum ahead of the Games. Cham who left last week Friday night was appointed Chef de Mission for the Rio event February this year. ‘We will be presented the details we need to help prepare our team when they are in Rio for the Games. We will also be there exactly one year before the Games to experience the climate during the Games. I look forward to visiting Rio and learning more about the venues to bring back information vital to our team,’ said Cham, prior to his departure. He is also a bureau member of the Gambia Olympic Committee. He is accompanied by GNOC development officer MomodouDemba. The 2016 Olympic Games will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 5 to 21 August 2016.]]>
