Aminata Y. Bah, a student of the Gambia College is seeking support to graduate after completing her studies two years ago.
Aminata completed her High National Diploma in Agriculture at Gambia College in 2022 but she is yet to have her certificates due to arrears.
She is owing the Gambia College administration the sum of D24,000 which is preventing her to have her certificates.
Aminata is a hardworking young lady and a key supporter of her family as she is the eldest child.
‘I have been searching for work, but couldn’t get any because of what they normally ask for (my certificates which I am not having).
‘So I can’t get any work as of now. I even want to go to University of the Gambia to continue my education, but I can’t even apply for that because I don’t have any certificate,’ she lamented.
She comes from a humble family that cannot pay for her tuition fee but with ambition and conviction to help her family she enrolled at the Gambia college, but upon completion of her study, she is entangled in tuition fee arrears.
‘I really need support to take my certificates so that I can start work to help my family because I am the eldest child so I have to help my family, but I can’t do that without having any documents,’ she lamented.
She called on the government, individuals and philanthropist to help her settle her arrears to enable her collect her certificates.
