In the wake of the tragic fire incident at the Gambia Navy’s Naval Command on March 28, 2025, which claimed the lives of a Gambia Navy sailor and a civilian, the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) High Command held a crucial meeting with senior management of Jah Oil Company on April 2, 2025, at Defence Headquarters.
The discussions focused on assessing the tragedy and identifying both immediate and long-term measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to safety, cooperation, and proactive risk management to protect lives and infrastructure. GAF Public Relations Officer PRO Lamin K.
