By Sailu Bah The pump price of fuel has again increased as vehicle owners came to discover at filling stations in the Greater Banjul Area (GBA) on Wednesday, 2nd July 2014, as petrol hikes from D57. 52 to D58.52 per litre, and diesel rose from D54.09 to D55.09 per litre. When this reporter visited some filing stations in Banjul, Old Jeshwang and Churchill Town during the weekend, the pump attendants confirmed the price increase of D1 on the previous prices per litre of both petrol and diesel. According to those who spoke to this reporter, the price increase was not preceded by any fuel shortage but that it was just increased. Foroyaa will enquire from the Ministry of Finance, importers and suppliers as to what is responsible for this sudden increase of the price of both petrol and diesel. ]]>
