The Gambia Police Force has arrested four youths following a violent gang clash in Sinchu Alagie, a village in the Greater Banjul Area.

According to Cadet Assistant Superintendent Momodou Musa Sisawo, the clash occurred at “Five Junctions” between rival groups known as the “Ghetto Force Crew” and the “Blackpool Ghetto Crew.”

“The Police acted swiftly and arrested four suspected members of the Ghetto Force Crew: Yaya Jallow, Modou Sanneh, Muhammad Lamin Jallow, and Salieu Ndow,” Sisawo said. Weapons recovered include four cutlasses, three glass bottles, one knife, and two lengths of wire cable.

While police intensified patrols in Wellingara, Sukuta, Talinding, Serrekunda, and Brusubi Phase 2, Sinchu Alagie remained tense, according to Sisawo. He said investigations are ongoing and reiterated the police’s zero-tolerance stance on gang violence.
