The Hagie Gai Drammeh Foundation (HGDF) has provided cash support to some vulnerable differently abled persons and their families in Kombo North.

The foundation made the donation last Friday 29 December 2023, in an event which took place at the foundation’s office along Kairaba Avenue.

Since the establishment of the foundation in 2015, the organization has so far provided assistance to over three hundred and eighty people across the length and breadth of the country.

Hagie Gai Drammeh, the founder of the foundation said they spent a lot of effort to locate disabled persons and the most vulnerable families.

“Great effort is usually expended in searching and locating such deserving people and their families,” he said.

Mr Drammeh said one of the beneficiaries, Baba Bah, a native of Madiana in Kombo North, has been living with disability from birth up to date and has not been able to walk by himself.

“Mr Bah is given both psychological and financial support, to help him pay hospital bills,” he said, adding that the foundation has also been supporting his family with feeding from time to time since then.

“The foundation has now taken the responsibility of paying the school fees of Mr Baba Bah,” he said.

In receiving the cash donation, Mr Baba Bah commended the foundation for providing such a humanitarian gesture, as he noted that the donation will help him a long way in ensuring that he continues to live a better life, and to acquire basic education.
