Fortune Football Club are on track to retain the BrikamaNawettanFortune on track
league title they scooped last year following a post-match penalties
win over Jaliba United.
The victory sees Fortune book a place into the finals after a 4-3kicks win over Jaliba United. Regular time ended one-all to both
teams.
The win sees them set up a scintillating final clash with Fabou who
shoved aside Skypower also on penalties in the other semi-final
contest. Normal tie drew a blank to either side.
The euphoria surrounding this would be thrilling duel is already at fever pitch.
Fortune will target to add this year’s gong to their trophy cabinet
while Fabou will plan to soil their adversaries’ objective for a
back-to-back dominance.
In a separate development at the Boxbar mini-stadium, Brikama Zonal
selection got the better of neighbor Gunjur in a friendly face-off.
Real de Banjul’s Sam Gibba netted the Sateba Boys’ lone and decisive
goal. Gunjur had a dozen chances thwarted.
Dimingo Manneh climbed off the substitutes’ bench to taunt Gunjur’s
defence but his efforts weren’t utilized.
Meanwhile in Manjai, Marimoo won the zone’s Knockout cup.
