By Alhagie F.S Sora Following the pronouncement of the free education for boys and girls by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, this reporter was assigned to visit the Basic and Secondary schools to find out how prepared they are to implement the policy. Many schools in the Kanifing Municipality were visited by the reporter, but due to the holidays many school authorities were not found. For example, at Abuko Upper Basic School, the school’s Vice Principal, Mr. Saamo Badjie said the principal was attending a workshop and therefore he cannot say anything about the issue. Elsewhere, at Latrikunda Upper Basic School, Tallinding Upper Basic and Serrekunda Basic cycle school, all said the right authorities such as the head of those schools were not around to make any comment. This reporter will continue with the investigation.    ]]>
