Police forensic investigators are looking for more evidence in the alleged scamming case involving four (4) Nigerian nationals.

The four suspects aged between 20 and 26 were arrested by police last year (2022) for their alleged involvement in suspected online scamming.

The deputy spokesperson of the Gambia Police Force (GPF), Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police Muhammed Y. Darboe  on Monday confirmed to Foroyaa that their  detective officers are gathering forensic evidence in the suspects’ google drive and other internet tools.

“Our forensic department unit is doing a great job in ensuring they unearth those facts,’’ he says.

Meanwhile, Darboe told this paper last week that the 4 suspects may face prosecution after completing the investigation.

“The suspects were granted bail. But it is highly possible they will face prosecution. Investigators have gathered all facts (pieces of evidence) and now they are putting them together for further actions,’’ said Darboe.

The suspects were granted bail pending further actions. They are yet to be charged.
