Fisheries Director Granted Bail

By Rohey Jadama Famara Darboe, the Director of Fisheries, who is charged with eleven counts, including neglect of official duty, economic crime and abuseof office, was yesterday 23rd February, 2015 granted bail in the sum of 5 million by Justice Simon A. Abi of the Banjul High Court. In granting Mr. Darboe bail, the trial judge ordered the applicant to provide two Gambian sureties to sign the bond of 2.5million, each to swear to an affidavit of means and submit their travelling documents to the Principal Registrar of the Court as well a valuation report. He also ordered the applicant to deposit all his travelling documents to the Principal Registrar of the Court until the final determination of the case. Lawyer Lamin S. Camara appeared for Mr. Darboe, while A.M Yusuf represented the State.]]>
