Salimata Jarju, a final year student at the Gambia College, is seeking financial aid to help foot her tuition fee.

Madam Jarju made this appeal on Friday during an interview with this reporter at the Foroyaa office in Churchill’s Town on Friday 16th July 2021.

Jarju said she is pursuing a general certificate in agriculture in the said college and in her final year. But she decried that lack of money to finance her education bill is posing an acute obstacle to her academic aspiration.

She told this reporter: “My yearly tuition fee for the CGA certificate is D10000 (ten thousand dalasis). My total tuition fee for the two years is D20, 000(twenty thousand dalasi). Out of this amount, I have been able to pay only the sum of D2000 (two thousand dalasi)”.

She decried that she has been making her utmost to complete the remaining money, but her efforts are proving fruitless, which she described as a serious nightmare she is currently encountering.

She appealed: “I am appealing to all and sundry to help finance my tuition fee to help me achieve my dream of completing the certificate level and contributing my quota towards national development”.
