Kuteh Jumbulu and Hart FC have qualified to the country’s second division league after winning in their respective fixtures on Thursday in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) playoffs for promotion to the aforesaid league.

Kuteh Jumbulu – a team from Upper River Region – came from behind to crush Medina Umfally – a team from Central River Region – 2-1 at the Soma Mini Stadium. Medina Umfally opened the scoreline six minutes into the first-half through Ebrima Drammeh. But Kuteh Jumbulu’s Sulayman Manneh levelled the scores eleven minutes later. The first-half ended one all.

Kuteh Jumbulu doubled to lead in the second-half courtesy of Abdoulie Manneh in the 64th minute. Manneh’s goal proved the winner and qualified his side to GFF National League Division Two.  Kuteh Jumbulu will “fill the void left by compatriots Wagadu FC who were relegated last season”.
