The 55-year-old was due to touch down in Banjul today to hold a brief meeting with the Gambia government.

But giving Youth and Sports minister Henry Gomez is out of the country’s shores, Madame Diouf’s visit has been postponed until further notice, a highly placed source tells this publication.

The erstwhile UN’s Deputy Humanitarian Coordinator, is expected to discuss football development in Gambia as well as the current tempestuous relationship between GFF and the National Sports Council (NSC).

The two bodies are at loggerheads with NSC insisting on probing the federation on allegations of fraud and other vices it said, it received against the Gff from football stakeholders.

Football House in reply, have refused to budge, threatening to drag the council to the courts should they go ahead with their plans.
