Fatoumata Touray, a Grade six pupil of New Jeshwang Lower Basic School who has been diagnosed with bladder atrophy at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital, has been referred for overseas treatment. Fatoumatta, accompanied by her mother visited the Foroyaa Office, to show a Medical Report she received from the Hospital Management Board.
According to the report, Fatoumata’s liver is normal in size and homogenous and the gall bladder is also in it’s normal size and thickness. That there were “no stones” present.
The report went further to show that the pancreas and spleen are normal and that both kidneys are moderately dilated of pyelolineal system and no stone. After being diagnosed with bladder astrophy, the report show that the bladder is empty, recommending her for overseas treatment for better management and evaluation.
Awa John Ndimbalan, an authority from Fatoumata’s school said despite Fatoumata’s irregular attendance due to ill-health, she has proven to be very bright, hardworking and respectful to teachers and pupils alike; that she has no doubt, when she regains her good health, Fatoumata will prove to be a young lady with character and potential for achieving very good results,” she stated.
