A close relative of one of the men who was reported to have died in the 30 December 2014 attack on state house in Banjul is 
appealing for the handing over of his corpse to the family for final burial.
This relative, who prefers anonymity, said they have been waiting for eight months now without any official information from the state or access to the corpse which was held alongside others for a very long time at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital mortuary in Banjul.
It was earlier reported by this medium that the corpses of the insurgents, which were kept at the Banjul mortuary and under guard by military personnel, were removed from the place and taken to an unknown place. When the hospital public relation officer (PRO) was approached on the issue, at the time, he referred the Foroyaa reporter to the spokesperson of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF). Since then, efforts to interview the GAF PRO on the issue of the whereabouts of the corpses have proven unsuccessful.
The corpses in question are that of Lt. Col. Landing Sanneh, former Commander of Presidential Guard, Captain Njagga Jagne, a retired officer in the US army, Alagi Nyass, a former member of the defunct Gambian Gendermerie, and Bakary Bojang.
