Omar Colley may yet switch domestic clubs again three months after joining Genk of Belgium with Englishgambias-captain Premier League’s Everton reportedly keeping an eye on the Gambia international, Foroyaa Sport can report.

The Toffees are stuffed with quality players and were tipped to chase for a top-four slot on the back of an impressive start to the season. However worries are beginning to beset the club after they conceded seven goals in their last three fixtures triggering public scrutiny of the side’s floppy defence setup.

Thirteen fixtures have gone with Everton perched at seventh in the standings. Dutch tactician Ronald Koeman –extolled at start of the campaign as the man to turnaround the club’s fortunes – is being piled with pressure and knows, with the quality at his disposal, anything short of a top-four finish would, at best, be considered a fiasco in his first spell as club manager.

There is still chance of quick of fix and such an overhaul must start with providing seal to a defence that has massively stuttered on the heel of Johnstones departure to Manchester United’s noisy neighbor, City.

And aware of possibility of the hiccup spiralling out of control, consolidating that backline top Koeman’s priorities and the Dutch man has already notified the club’s ubiquitous scouting network to get down to work. Possible transfer targets have been lined up with Club Brugge’s Stefano Denswil and Standard Leige’s Alexander Scholz whirling on Everton’s radar.

For any deals to be sanctioned, the English club would require to coup up in excess of € 11m. Gambia national team captain Omar Colley carrying such a hefty price tagging with Genk’s asking price of €5m a much more reasonable fee. But Koeman could face stiff rivalry for the ex-Wallidan man with Southampton also keeping tabs on the Scorpion.

There have been reports of a switch to the Bundesliga amid enquiries from Hertha Berlin, Koln or even Hoffenheim but Colley’s preference for the English Premier League could tip the balance in Everton or Southampton’s favour.
