Ebrima Sohna has been overlooked for the tie versus Djibouti.

Sohna one of the experienced heads in the team returned to the Gambian squad following the appointment of Tom Saint during the previous Afcon qualifiers.

The combative midfield became a regular automatically starring in all games as the Scorpions finished third in a group topped by eventual champions of Africa, Algeria.

Before then he’d been dropped or snubbed from selection under the tutelage of Sang Ndong.

The 30-year-old is at the moment without a club as he works around getting one.

His fitness issues versus Angola had him exposed in a midfield devoid of creativity.

This time, Tom has opted to summon Poland-based Alasana Manneh and recall in-form Ali Sowe to compliment Musa Barrow and Assan Ceesay in attack.
