Draft Constitution ready for public scrutiny

672

The constitution of any country is the supreme law to which all other laws must be subordinate. It serves as a guide to how the people are governed, how they select their representatives and on what terms; it defines the institutions that should be in place and how they are established and operate, and so forth. The constitution of a country therefore is everybody’s business. Every Gambian should make it a point of duty to scrutinise it and then make their comments.

Foroyaa will be publishing the full text of the draft in a series so that all and sundry can have access to it. It will also make its pages available for comments.
