Buying of voters’ cards is considered as corrupt and illegal electoral act which can have serious repercussions. According to section 102 of the Elections Act during the trial of an election petition if the court finds a person or political party guilty of corrupt electoral practice such person’s name will be struck off from the register of voters and for such political party it may even be suspended or deregistered apart from striking off the names of the persons involved from the register of voters.

Beware! Any person or political party engaged in such practice may face the consequence of their action.
