The president of the Ecowas Parliament Moustapha Cisse Lo, did undertake to visit President Barrow and other political party leaders to discuss the current political situation and prevail on the leaders to maintain the peace and stability of the country whilst respecting the right of the president to govern according to the Laws of the country and the right of the other political parties to hold the Government to account in accordance with the Law and to seek political mandate as prescribed by Law.

Foroyaa has reliably learnt that he had scheduled to meet representatives of all the parties that are represented in parliament. He is reported so far, to have succeeded in meeting President Adama Barrow of the NPP, Ousainou Darboe of the UDP, Mamma Kandeh of the GDC and Halifa Sallah of the PDOIS. He is scheduled to leave The Gambia on Friday 31st January 2020, after presiding over a meeting of the Ecowas parliament this week.
