Expenses involved in staging Gambia Football Federation’s muc
h talked about presidential elections including logistics has been revealed to Foroyaa Sport.
Football House polls is set for this month and necessary ground work to organize the mammoth event is being put in place to ensure smooth running of things.
The financial aspect of matters, it appears, has already been settled including footing the bill of the occasion and other arrangements with the elections expenditure tagged at D150, 000.
Reached to elucidate on the figure GFF’s Ismaila Bah said the amount covers fares of football stakeholders including delegates to travel over from the various regions.
“It also includes accommodation and feeding, stationery and printing, fuel, logistics and security,” he told Foroyaa Sport.
Three candidates are vying for the GFF presidency left void after FIFA removed Mustapha Kebbeh’s leadership mainly for falsifying documents and lacking stakeholders’ backing –allegations the latter debunked.
Lamin Kabba Bajo who returned from his vote- canvassing tour of the regions is in the race for the coveted hot-seat with Buba Bojang and Omar Danso.
Danso and Bojang formed an alliance and are in negotiations to name a single flag-bearer before Friday.
Election is billed for September 20th at the Paradise Suites Hotel.In this vein; there would be a televised debate among the candidates on Thursday 18th September 2014 at 8pm.
